nintendo cereal: a video game you can eat?!
| written by eric on 08/12/08 | leave a comment |
if you were popular in the 80’s then two things would inevitably
happen. 1.) you’d become a breakfast cereal. 2.) you’d become a
nintendo game. given those two facts. was there any ever doubt that
this would happen…
the nintendo cereal system wasn’t just a meal — it was a full fledged
video game playing break-stravaganza-fast, magic-licously combining
the awesomeness of sugar-based cereal and the awesomeness of nintendo.
with the nintendo cereal system you were playing your breakfast and
eating your nintendo!
i just hope the marshmallows aren’t in another fucking castle.

toys ‘R’ us: now with the noid!

heh. so to celebrate the opening of a toys ‘R’ us, which in a kid’s eyes should be a joyous occassion, one of your main guests of honor is an annoying asshole who ruins your pizza? what a great party this is gonna be.

ironywatch: toys”R”us
| written by geoffrey on 07/24/08 | 4 comments |
i’m always on the look out for new things to appreciate ironically. this is ironywatch.
thinking about suspending your hormonal development so you never have to grow up, and therefore can remain a toys”R”us kid forever? great idea! as a kid, toys”R”us was the most fun place in the world, where you could beg and scream at your parents to buy you the ghostbusters HQ playset (complete with fireman’s pole and ectoplasm). as an adult, you’ll find the complete lack of atmosphere and fun nothing short of hilarious.
here’s a picture of what toys”R”us looks like today:

it’s like a food4less with toys! hooray!! i love the magical rafters and twinkling florescent lights. looking at this today, i’m kind of sad that i dragged by grandma there so many times.
so, if you want to have a good time in a depressingly lit warehouse of defective transformers backpacks, ironywatch proudly endorses toys”R”us, where an adult can become disillusioned about their childhood.

TGIF - urkel parodied in local real estate commercial

gonna have some fun, show you how it’s done - TGIF!
there are two sides to the two brothers investment group. one side is calm, cool and ready to help you with all your real estate needs. the other side involves them doing a family matters parody, complete with urkel, carl, cheese, the phrase “big guy” and a “did i do that?” i wish i had a house to sell. maybe as part of the deal, they’d show me their take on urkelbot.
