the pilot for hangin’ with mr. cooper featured a very 90’s meta-opening, in which alan thicke (aka jason seaver on growing pains) grudgingly gives his set over to mark curry. apparently, part of alan’s growing pains is to let go and allow a new age of hangin’ to begin. an age which would dominate the television landscape for years to come…

there are two sides to the two brothers investment group. one side is calm, cool and ready to help you with all your real estate needs. the other side involves them doing a family matters parody, complete with urkel, carl, cheese, the phrase “big guy” and a “did i do that?” i wish i had a house to sell. maybe as part of the deal, they’d show me their take on urkelbot.

the full house girls really show off their talents in this clip: between michelle reciting her phone number with her eyes closed and stephanie & d. j. singing an effortlessly improvised musical number, they’re able to fool their adult father into thinking that there’s no hole punched in the wall.
these sisters are classic con artists. if i was going to vegas with a bunch of MIT card counters, i’d want steph and d. j. singing “dad, dad, dad, dad…” not because it would help me cheat, but because they’d probably get taken to the back room and beaten half to death.
