launching today is my new site trophybomb.com, where i’ll be writing awesome, funny things. i’m posting 5 brand new essays just today, and more every day this week. many of the topics i write about will feel familiar to overtime readers:
* carmen sandiego should have stolen my virginity
* the birthday dilemma: presents don’t make up for being a year closer to death
* the ninja turtles need my valuable skills
* the phrase “gaymerica” should be more popular
* hail will smith and our glorious willenium
read them, cherish them, and leave lots of comments. thank you and enjoy!

sorry asians, you aren’t the world

these japanese people do a pretty great job of impersonating all the really big names from “we are the world,” but come on rice eaters, are your big ol’ brains so busy doing math that you can’t figure out the real charm of this 80’s classic are all the random non-singers thrown into the mix?
where’s oriental dan aykroyd, guys? until I see a slant eyed ghostbuster, I’m declaring this video a bigger disaster since the last time one of you drove on the freeway! ~high five me!~

nintendo cereal: a video game you can eat?!
| written by eric on 08/12/08 | 3 comments |
if you were popular in the 80’s then two things would inevitably
happen. 1.) you’d become a breakfast cereal. 2.) you’d become a
nintendo game. given those two facts. was there any ever doubt that
this would happen…
the nintendo cereal system wasn’t just a meal — it was a full fledged
video game playing break-stravaganza-fast, magic-licously combining
the awesomeness of sugar-based cereal and the awesomeness of nintendo.
with the nintendo cereal system you were playing your breakfast and
eating your nintendo!
i just hope the marshmallows aren’t in another fucking castle.

a clip of asterios performing stand-up at an LA comic book store made its way to npr’s marketplace. way to go, asterios! and way to go batman, for hopefully getting a sense of humor.
