ironywatch: little mermaid - ariel’s beginning
| written by geoffrey on 08/28/08 | leave a comment |
i’m always on the look out for new things to appreciate ironically. this is ironywatch.
it’s time to go back “under the sea” with ariel, flounder and sebastian, to find out how they all became friends. if you’re anything like me, you watched the little mermaid as a kid and asked yourself, “how did ariel and flounder become friends?” folks, you’re about to get all the answers you can handle.
so buckle your ass to your seat, try not to get your mind blown too hard, and enjoy this important prequel to the story of my favorite mermaid. while you’re at it, you should probably dig further and learn more about the disney heroes with such gems as:
- Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World (1998)
- The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride (1998)
- The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (2000)
- Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure (2001)
- Cinderella II: Dreams Come True (2002)
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame II (2002)
- 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure (2003)
- The Lion King 1½ (2004)
- Mulan II (2005)
- Tarzan II (2005)
- Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (2005)
- Brother Bear 2 (2006)
- Bambi II (2006)
- The Fox and the Hound 2 (2006)
- Cinderella III: A Twist in Time (2007) <– where cinderella time travels!
…and many more. get them all before they go back into the disney dumpster vault.

not-so-happy days
| written by eric on 08/27/08 | leave a comment |
there are a lot of questions regarding the 10th season of happy days:
1.) who are all these girls?
2.) who is that little girl? does fonzie have a kid?
3.) is the guy from “married from children” supposed to be their friend? he looks way too smug.
… but the biggest question is…
4.) is fonzie holding a briefcase?! does that mean he has a … j-j-j-j-j-job?!?!
but–but–but jobs are for squares!

scooby dooby doo doo doo
| written by eric on 08/27/08 | leave a comment |
the background music at the beginning of the clip simply just repeats “scooby dooby doo”
that is a textbook example of lazy writing.
