saturday morning cartoon: beetlejuice
written by geoffrey on 06/21/08

beetlejuice has become less sleazy/rape-y in regards to lydia, which is good for their relationship, since they’re friends who go on adventures now. if he was still trying to forcibly marry her, it’d make for a very awkward cartoon.

in this episode, the skeletons in beetlejuice’s closet expose a host of lies. lies!

I remember loving the show as a kid, but in retrospect, it’s a weird concept. What’s with slightly kid-unfriendly films being turned into adventure cartoons?

My friend is still pushing me to make “T2: The Animated Adventures.”

“if parents like it, kids will like a tamer version of it,” as the old saying goes.

lol - you should make that. consider yourself encouraged!

Its funny, I remember on of my friends not being allowed to watch this. I always wondered why he was allowed to watch the Adam’s Family animated right after it, though.
