saturday morning cartoon - hulk hogan’s rock ‘n’ wrestling written by geoffrey on 05/31/08
there’s not much positive buzz surrounding the new incredible hulk movie, but you’ve got to give it up for the hulkster, who along with rowdy roddy piper and andre the giant, star in this 80’s saturday morning cartoon. or rather, their likenesses star in it, and their voices are performed by actors.
oh come on, iron shiek. get off your ass and into the recording studio for a day.

Man, the first minute of that cartoon is one of the goofiest things I’ve seen. I love Hulk’s little jumps, and then when he speaks, it’s Brad Garrett!?
Also, I’m assuming this is a Dic cartoon because at the very beginning it uses the exact same music used in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show…and yet, Captain Lou Albano is not played by Captain Lou.
Oh man, and James “Uncle Phil” Avery is in it too?!
This blew my mind.

yup, it was dic. nothing but the finest musical rehashing for kids of the 80’s. i would also bet that the music wasn’t originally written for the mario bros show. it was probably in a few cartoons before hand.
“…and yet, Captain Lou Albano is not played by Captain Lou.” - lol.
good catch with uncle phil and brad garrett. i wonder if they’ve talked since. (actually they probably didn’t even meet each other when they were working on it)
