great cartoon idea: gilligan’s planet

take your favorite characters from tv — the gilligan’s island crew, of course — and animate them. somehow, we’ll get them into space, and throw in a talking lizard alien named bumper. how can you lose? answer: you can’t!

    Poor Alan Hale. As if “Giant Spider Invasion” wasn’t a low enough point in his career.

    Giligan, you block head! You’ve doomed us all! We are all going to die thanks you you’re bannana peel! On the other hand, if the built a rocket out of parts on an island, they can EASILY build one out of moon rocks to get home… but I guess Giligan would just foul it up again and they woul wind up in purgatory, or something.
