obama won in iowa! clinton won in new hampshire! mccain isn’t dead yet!?

we here at overtime blog about culture, and right now the biggest cultural thing going on isn’t a movie, tv show, cd, or sporting event. this november, the people of this country are going to overthrow the government, with democracy.

i’ve been a politics geek my entire life. in second grade, i memorized the first, middle, and last names of all the presidents. in fifth grade i started listening to the musical political satire of the capitol steps. in 2000, i stayed up until 2AM watching election coverage, and i wasn’t even old enough to vote. in 2006, i spent the whole day refreshing cnn.com, watching the congress turn from red to blue. i am so off the fucking wall excited that for right now my geek topic of choice is the cultural happenstance du jour. beyond that, i am so honored that every once in a while, overtime dips into the political arena and makes political videos with a real message:

hilary clinton is a ghost! message received.
