raggedy ann meets the awesome candy monster
written by geoffrey on 12/13/07

this is an fantastic sequence from the feature length raggedy ann and andy: a musical adventure movie (1977). despite the lame title, the animation is fluid and trippy (directed by the lead animator of who framed roger rabbit) and the songs are excellent. they were written by joe raposo, who wrote all the sesame street songs you like.

the candy monster used to freak me out as a kid. he still does, lol.

wow. i remember watching this when i was a kid. i thought about it a few months ago, but could not find it anywhere. i blame this for getting in to the grateful dead and pink floyd in my high school years.

Man, Richard Williams’ animation is great and everything, but I don’t think he was capable of letting anything on the screen stay still for one freaking second.
