overtime super trivia sunday! holiday leftovers
| written by daroff on 12/30/07 | 5 comments |
god, not even the youtube crowd liked this movie. not a clip in sight.
somehow this god awful jonathan taylor thomas vehicle has become a yearly christmas staple. it’s on every year, without fail, and it’s a ridiculously bad movie. so here’s the question: j.t.t.’s character’s journey to get home for the holidays is made more complicated when a bunch of douche bags leave him out in the middle of nowhere with _________ glued to him. fill in the blank.
the first person to comment with the correct answer (limit one answer per person) will get their name in the hall of fame on the side bar and get to lord it over everyone. don’t be discouraged if someone else answers first; there’s a good chance that person is wrong.

the lost vikings was tough as shit
| written by geoffrey on 12/27/07 | 3 comments |
i’m guessing that those of you who remember the lost vikings also remember how impossible it was to beat. yeah, the game was tough, but it was tough in a frustratingly-fun way, like a rubik’s cube.
…and not in a cruel and unusual way, like battletoads.
also worth noting: the lost vikings had an awesome hip-hop theme song, they got abducted into outer-space, and you can find them in world of warcraft (the lost vikings was an early blizzard game).

my mom and girlfriend got me nintendo!

check out a sweet super mario speed run, on me
yesterday i received a box full of the standard hanukkah fare: books, dvd’s, chap stick, calendar, a frosty mug bearing the mark of the philadelphia eagles, and my old, original 8-bit NES, including all the games. i was so psyched i had to tell my girlfriend. i left her an excited voicemail, to which i got a call back, “your mother ruined christmas.” my super awesome girlfriend had managed to track down an old, original 8-bit NES, and she was going to give it to me for christmas. with all of you overtime readers as my witnesses, that was the single coolest thing anyone has ever done for me for christmas.
in the coming weeks, i plan on playing all the random ass games i have, and i will review each of them right here. i don’t have a lot of games, but believe me, they are random as ass.
