the muppet show: season two ($33) - this is the best collection of muppet show episodes ever, from the show’s most consistently good season. john cleese, peter sellers, steve martin, and motherfucking don knots are all on this disc. not to mention kermit the pig (see below).

the great muppet caper ($15) - this is the best muppet movie ever. the muppet movie is a classic, but no other muppet movie features charles grodin framing miss piggy for a jewel heist. game, set, match.

a muppet family christmas ($22 on VHS, $123 on DVD) - is any muppet movie worth $123? no, except that this is a christmas muppet crossover featuring the muppets, sesame street and the fraggles. our recommendation: if you’ve still got a vhs player, make it the last video tape you ever buy. otherwise, bittorrent it.
