great synergy: wayne’s world and bohemian rhapsody
written by geoffrey on 11/08/07

listen up, junior executives. here’s a great example of two cultural entities teaming together to form what we in the business world call “synergy” (pronounced sin-err-gee).

when wayne’s world came out, it was a super mega hit, and one of the best scenes in the movie is where wayne and garth sing “bohemian rhapsody.” consequently, “bohemian rhapsody” rode the wayne’s world hype trail all the way to #2 on the billboard charts in 1992 — 20 years after its original release. the great song helped the movie, the great movie helped the song. that’s some serious synergy, team. keep it up.
