addams family gets their groove on

i listen to the addams family groove all the time (it’s in the novelty monster rap playlist that comes with the ipod), but i don’t think i’ve ever seen the music video. let’s all revel in the glory of this early 90’s video, which is mostly comprised of choice clips from the movie and mc hammer doing a post-thriller horror dance routine. worth noting: wednesday and pugsley came so close to killing mc hammer. totally badass.

“new zoo revue”: puppets suck dick (literally)

check out this classic 70s blooper from a kids show called new zoo revue, in which the two characters have a conversation filled with “adult situations.” it’s like meet the feebles, but mercifully short. are you kids ready to learn about gay animal sex?

the super mario land rap
written by geoffrey on 10/29/07 2 comments

here’s a pretty awesome remix from 1992 of the gameboy super mario land theme. it’s absolutely worth listening for a minute, but after awhile it gets repetitive. the funny thing is i can listen to the same nintendo loop for hours, but once you add a kickin’ rap beat, i expect more lyrics, ambassadors of funk!

now excuse me, you might think i’m crazy, but i gotta rescue daisy.

overtime super trivia sunday! super mario 3

was this or was this not the best movie from your childhood? (that’s not the question)

what power-up can you find in level 5-3 that you can’t find anywhere else in the game? (that is the question)

the first person to comment with the correct answer (limit one answer per person) will get their name in the hall of fame on the side bar and get to lord it over everyone. don’t be discouraged if someone else answers first; there’s a good chance that person is wrong.

“gaybusters”: as horrible as you assume it is
written by geoffrey on 10/26/07 leave a comment

just in time for halloween: it’s a scary ghostbusters parody from a norwegian tv show. it’s more “clan rally” scary than teen wolf scary, but it’s absolutely worth watching.

equipped with the original theme tune and a slightly modified version of the original logo, the gaybusters go around zapping horrifying gay people into their trapper guns. judging by the hooting from the manshow audience during the opening, i don’t think you’ll be seeing any of these folks at outfest this year.

what’s even scarier than the homophobic premise? their egon character - who looks like a mean gepetto - is sorely under used.
