michael jordan hands the pistons their own asses
written by geoffrey on 09/14/07

it’s 1988 and michael jordan is awesome. too awesome. after this game, where jordan humiliates the pistons, detroit employed “the jordan rules” defense for future bulls games — this was a defense specifically designed to take down michael jordan. the main “jordan rule” was to frequently foul michael jordan. it worked for a few years (though jordan still averaged 30+ points per game), but when the nba created the flagrant foul a few years later, michael jordan went on to win 50 championships in a row.

now there’s only one way to stop michael jordan: control the power of lightning and destroy him with it.
