remember when the ghostbusters had an ape? remember space cowboys before there was firefly? remember the animated version of giligan’s island? remember when snoopy horned in on charlie brown’s action? remember when cartoon intros took FOREVER?
you can remember all this 80s goodness and so much more if you have the next 30 minutes to spare…

bobby’s world invades “deal or no deal”?!
| written by geoffrey on 08/31/07 | leave a comment |
roger rabbit he ain’t, but this is probably the last time you’ll ever see a new animated cartoon clip featuring bobby from saturday morning’s bobby’s world. it took howie mandel becoming semi-famous again to get :45 more seconds of bobby. crunching the numbers, if howie mandel was elected president, we’d probably get one more full episode.
howie in ‘08? nah. i’d rather elect rick moranis and get more gravesdale high!

the secret to making an “adult” burger
| written by geoffrey on 08/30/07 | leave a comment |
you’ll recall that the arch deluxe was mcdonald’s attempt at making a burger that would appeal to adults. so what was the difference between the arch deluxe and a typical kid-friendly big mac?
a) thousand island dressing and an expensive, retarded marketing plan. adults have a very distinguished palette.

please ignore the “baby, baby, do it to me, rock me”s.
“es war um 1780
und es war in wien
no plastic money anymore
die banken gegen ihn
woher die schulden kamen
war wohl jedermann bekannt
er war ein mann der frauen
frauen liebten seinen punk”

my second plea to stop silverchair

that’s right, a new single from a new album
hi, music. it’s me again. when i said we need to prevent silverchair from making music, i did not mean let them release another album. come on, what is this? “young modern” looks to me like a new album. how could you let this happen, music?
luckily for us, this album sounds nothing like old silverchair. just like they ripped off nirvana in the nineties, they’ve now opted to rip off coldplay, with the same shitty results. does this kid have anything resembling integrity? they’re like weird al without the brilliant comedy.
