“swans crossing”: kinda makes sense until the submarine written by jenni on 06/22/07
thank you to overtime reader punani rasmussen for making me aware of this gem of a show. according to imdb, “swans crossing was a short-lived half-hour serial following the lives, loves, and intrigues of twelve wealthy teenagers who stir up scandal and excitement in their small town.” but what you really need to know is that some kid is trying to invent self-propelled rocket fuel, sarah michelle gellar likes to torture her driver (her favorite phrase is “use your pedals”), and there is an abundance of mini-bike racing and people breaking into song for no reason. then the submarine shows up…
so please, i beg you, try to look past the bad vcr to youtube transfer and enjoy episode 1 part 1 of this glory of a teen drama!

i am not ashamed to admit i loved this show! it was sarah michelle gellar’s finest pre-buffy work, and the dude was awesome in that rollerblading movie.
it also featured that repetitively catchy “please don’t go” song

I too loved Swan’s Crossing, the more bizarre the better. Wait until the whole “switched at birth” storyline comes up - now that’s awesome.

thank god for you guys or I would have forgotten half of my childhood.

that’s right, syndey rutledge and sandy swan were switched at birth. sandy swan had a tattoo of a swan on her foot, and garrett swtiched the birth records to make syndey think she was really sandy. holy crap.
