bobby “boris” pickett died on april 25th.

bobby “boris” pickett led an awesome life worth celebrating. “the monster mash” is a genuinely fun song, and it only gets better with age. i never once heard pickett get tired of playing it for his fans. that’s the sign of a true entertainer. “the monster mash” is more than just a halloween novelty; i bet you could put it on the stereo anytime of the year, and have a blast listening to it.

its not a 45 year old classic for nothing.

i’m bad with eulogies and this isn’t a time to be sad. this is a time to have one more monster party with the original mad scientist…

and one more for the road, bobby…
