the lady at the d and d table blues written by jenni on 03/29/07
i played my share of d and d as a teenager. i often had my sister with me at the time and since we were “girls” and aparantly unable to handle having our own characters, we were a pair of amazon twins with red hair and violet eyes whose hit points were tied into one another. meaning, if one of us died, the other had to too. this was lame.
also lame, the fact that the guys i played with liked to play coked out of their minds. it’s very distracting to try to cast spells when the dungeon master is staring at you and swaying back and forth, often screaming out “are you done yet!?” at inapropriate times.
i guess that’s why, to this day, i have fonder memories of playing rifts. those guys just drank too much mountain dew.
