it’s weird al sings “yoda” friday!
written by geoffrey on 03/30/07 leave a comment

thank goodness it’s friday! why, you ask? because the weekend is coming up? uh, gag me! who cares about some dumb old weekend when, on this particular friday, you can watch a clip of weird al yankovic singing fan favorite “yoda” in 1985. i would work seven days a week for the rest of my life, if my only job was to watch this clip once a day, and i get paid $150,000 a year starting salary.

yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda! duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh. that’s what i call “easy money.”

the lady at the d and d table blues

i played my share of d and d as a teenager. i often had my sister with me at the time and since we were “girls” and aparantly unable to handle having our own characters, we were a pair of amazon twins with red hair and violet eyes whose hit points were tied into one another. meaning, if one of us died, the other had to too. this was lame.

jim carrey sticks it to vanilla ice
written by geoffrey on 03/28/07 leave a comment

at one point, vanilla ice wasn’t just a major comedic punching bag. he was the comedic punching bag. it was all everyone talked about during 1994: vanilla ice is lame. however, one comedian beat everyone to the punch. check out jim carrey doing an inspired vanilla ice parody on in living color. the irony is that carrey himself is approaching punching bag status, and gets made fun of a lot lately. is that karma? well, even if it is, carrey is being laughed at on top of a gigantic skyscraper filled with money, whereas vanilla ice scrapes by on checks from vh1. word.
