garfield vouches for mother goose and grimm - but why? written by geoffrey on 02/15/07
“my friend grimmy…” according to garfield, he’s friends with grimmy the dog from the mother goose and grimm comics. yeah… i’m not buying it.
garfield’s position on dogs is firm: he doesn’t like them. only in rare circumstances does he come to odie’s aid. mostly, as i’m sure you’re already aware, he kicks odie off the table all the fucking time. also, at the end of this commercial, he says “…for a dog” with a great deal of disgust. and grimm isn’t just any dog. he’s an annoying dog that bears a striking resemblance to odie. garfield could never be friends with this loser. so now the question becomes: why did garfield lie to us?
a) money.
here’s yet another example of garfield selling his credibility for a bus load of lasagna. hey, garfield, why don’t you wash down that lasagna with a glass of the broken hearts of children?
