that x-men pilot was intended to be a spin-off from spiderman and his amazing friends.
ice Man took spiderman and firestar to x’s mansion to visit his friends, and of course some evil guy came to mess things up. they did that once or twice, and someone sat up and said, maybe there might some day be a demand for this here x-men. i guess the late seventies, early eighties weren’t ready for the x-men just yet.

Why does Wolverine have an Australian accent?
Canada = Australia?
Up until that part, I thought the show seemed pretty cool. Well, apart from Casanova Nightcrawler.

the reason for wolverine being australian is simple: kids love australia. whether it’s boxing koala bears, or superstar yahoo serious, they can’t get enough of australia. and who’s ever heard of wolverine? no one. everyone hates wolverine — until they injected him with a dose of vitamin a…stralia!!
