muppet parody images i wish were real movies: “swine trek II”
written by geoffrey on 12/05/06

i have very little interest in star trek movies, in general. it’s not really my cup of tea. but you know what is my cup of tea? goofing around with a teleporter: the movie. i imagine wrath of pig would essentially be a long string of visual gags surrounding the teleporter. like that scene in spaceballs, only 90 minutes long.

admit it. if you could watch that scene for 90 minutes, you would. now add some confused muppets, and i guarantee $40 million at the box office on opening weekend.

also, starting with “II” leaves plenty of room for the prequel. and if there’s one thing america loves, it’s prequels.

    Hey,

Years ago, My friends daughter asked me for a poster she had seen… “Swine Trek”. I looked everywhere online and on the street and drew a blank. I see you have a small jpeg of “Swine Trek II”. Any ideas as to where I might find the an original or the first poster? I owe her a Birthday present. ANY help you can proovide will be most appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Hi Greg,

Happy to help. Unfortunately, that image comes from the 1997 Muppet Parody Calendar, which has long since been out of print:

It’s hard to find copies, so if you can grab one on eBay or at a flea market, I say do it. Meanwhile, a lovely SwineTrek gift idea would be the SwineTrek playset:

Your friend’s daughter won’t just see the SwineTrek crew — she’ll be guiding their flight through the cosmos!!!!!!
