mosquito: i can’t stress enough the fact that these mosquitos are big written by dave on 10/26/06
in my continuing quest to dig up clips of animals that are way too huge, i now turn to the 1995 alien-crash-related-mutation film, mosquito. [you see, the aliens crashed, the mosquitos drank their blood, then boom! mutation.] where once we were concerned about west nile virus, we now must be concerned for our lives! i mean… you know, even more so.
one foolish time in a foolish era of my life, i slept in an open-faced cabin by a swamp in south jersey. if there was a part of my body not sucked dry by mosquitos, that part was probably beaten to a pulp by my wild and moderately insane swatting and ripped apart by my furiously belligerent scratching. let us not forget: mosquitos are the devil. and south jersey is at least a minor demon.
so imagine, if you will, mosquitos the size of those beasts in the above clip. — no! stop imagining! it’s too scary!
fortunately for us, if aliens crashed in a swamp in the real world, they would probably survive and go on some kind of a war of the worlds or, god help us, dreamcatcher-esque rampage of global domination, so the gigantic mutant mosquitos fed by their alien blood would be the least of our worries. what about the giant leeches and ticks though?! and… sweet lord… what about the giant vampires?!!!! good god! we’re doomed!
if you see an alien crash site… please clean it up immediately.
