upright citizens brigade: pro thunderball rules!
written by asterios on 10/05/06

when i was in high school, they were promoting the first episode of season three of the upright citizens brigade sketch show by mailing fans stickers, then having those fans put those stickers on mailboxes & lightposts and such. i was one of such fans - walking around my small town, putting little lables marked “don’t think” or “ass pennies” on the pharmacy’s storefront or the police/fire call box.

the other thing they wanted us to do to promote the show, which i never did, was fill little plastic cups with hair gel, label them sperm and leave them around town. i don’t really know how that promoted the show, i think it was just something they thought would be funny.

I was an extra when that was shot on Randall’s island. It was the most mismanaged thing I’d ever been apart of. There was a Giant hand running around. People were chasing cars. Cars were hitting baseball players. And they were making it up as they went along.
