oh. man. for its time, all your base was the sexiest fad on wheels. a combination of a crazy back story & kick ass photoshop work meant that you could walk into any college dorm room at any time, go, “hey, watch this”, and have an instant new best friend. for those who don’t know: watch the stuff and read on.

all your base was kind of a hipster handshake while i went to emerson college (the other hipster handshake? shitty facial hair and no girlfriend). if you knew all your base, you were instantly cool amongst my circle of two friends.

here’s the thing about all my base that still continues to impress: the photoshop work done on the pic’s is still incredible - and remember, this was 2001. now photoshop has a brush called “make everything look like it should”, and you use it, and you’re done. way back when these guys were making mock-up images on software not nearly as awesome.

so three cheers for all your base, the only cartoon that remembers to call you back, and doesn’t accuse you of getting too close too soon. sara, no, you’re wrong!
