asterios: though this montage of classic urkel moments is hilarious, it’s missing one of my favorite moments in the series: the time when steve urkel, on a jet pak, flew into the sitcom step by step.

here’s how it happens: steve urkel was too weak to climb the rope in gym class. how’s he fix that? science! guy builds a rocket pack, it malfunctions and he flies from chicago (the winslows) straight to san franscisco (that family with suzanne sommers in it). he lands in their backyard, and i believe (or hope) cody says something like, “dude! flying nerd!”

here’s where my memory gets fuzzy, but i believe urkel helps the young white nerd of the family win a science contest and trounce bullies. then…uh…i forget how he got home. probably by fixing the jetpak with the white nerd’s help, as it’s most obvious solution possible and thus the one they likely used.

still: i wish urkel had crashed into other shows on his jetpak. like twin peaks, or M*A*S*H - or better yet, urkel crashes through a tent where hawkeye’s operating on dale cooper! obscure comedy gold!
