This is a very funny bit, but little did we know there were severe consequences for our laughter. We were fools, young and crazy, happily enjoying a new take on a modern classic. However, there’s a thin line about to be crossed, and that line-crosser was:
“it’s what the network wants / why bother to complain?”
why bother? WHY BOTHER?! because there were children out there, like me, who saw that abomination, and wondered why they changed the formula for a show I already loved! but no one ‘bothered to complain.’ writers, producers — in regards to pinky and elmyra and the brain, they should all be listed in the credits as “gutless cowards.” don’t you people feel ashamed? very ashamed? … SHAME!
i guess we weren’t the only fools out there. no, i guess we were not.

Oh a whole generation cries with you man! One of the worst network choices in my time. Of course, to me they all pale to the cancelation of John Doe. :(
