texas chainsaw massacre: the atari videogame written by eric on 08/17/06
the first time i saw “texas chainsaw massacre” it was at 2 in the morning, at a friend’s house. it scared the crap out of me so much, that i never went to sleep that night. to this day it still freaks me out. in fact, i’m so freaked out right now just thinking about it, that i wish i wasn’t alone in the house- wait, what the hell was that noise?!
my uncle gave me a hand-me-down atari 2600 because my family couldn’t afford nintendo. any excitment i had at finally playing video games was destroyed by the primitive technology of an atari game. the 2600 really annoyed me, but because i *had* to play video games, i was left with no other option.
which brings us to the texas chainsaw massacre game for atari. what emotion would win out when playing this game: fear or frustration? what are you kidding? this game sucks. i have no idea what’s going on; i can’t tell if i’m playing as letherface or fighting him. i’ve seen cave paintings with more advanced electronics. and it sounds like a broken pace-maker, too!
so way to go, texas chainsaw video game. you were so confusingly bad that i’m not afraid of leatherface anymore. and if you think that’s a good thing, you’re wrong! cause fear totally gets me off!
