when i was in grade school, everybody loved murphy brown. now, nobody does. i tried watching it when it was on nick at nite a few years back and was like grabbing a piece of wet toilet paper - it’s awful, and it falls apart, and you feel weird doing it.

all the humor in murphy brown follows this formula: high level political figure + murphy + banal activity = joke, i guess? here are a few examples.

Frank Fontana: Oh no, Murphy, this isn’t gonna be like the time you played Scrabble with the Ayatoallah!

Jim Dial: Murphy, this isn’t going to be like the time you stole Vice President Quayle’s laundry detergent!

Corky Sherwood: Murphy, give me back my baby.

And every episode ended with Murphy Brown stealing a baby. That god old after, like, halfway through season two. Poor show, Murphy Brown. Also: your show sucks.
